large Acrylic painting inspired by a statue of Satan on the Cross I saw
in Mexico.
I don't know if I believe in the Devil ... but I guess there sure are a lot of you out there that do. And still more that act like Devils, a bunch of fucking assholes. The Devil is an impressive figure. It's much "cooler" to identify with the devil because outwardly the devil gives you strength. What's scarier, some big hairy guy with demonic symbols tattooed all over his body or some guy dressed up for Sunday mass with a Mickey Mouse bow tie? Sometimes I think people who like to be associated with devils have some inferiority issues and perhaps are a bit weak. I mean, why would you need to hide behind some big scary facade if you were inwardly confident about yourself. Why would you want to do the devils work unless someone had put you down pretty bad at some point? Maybe it's all the complete opposite of what seems obvious to most of us; that the Devil is actually a whimpgirl and the Angels are all pretty confident and tough. Well, I like devil imagery a lot myself ... so ... HAIL SATAN!
