Pleasing the Insect

In my past relationships with the opposite sex I found that in the beginning my infatuation blinded me to the true potential of the pairing. I would always feel that this time I was on the right track ... that it would last and be the "idyllic" relationship drummed into me by my conditioning. However, these partnerships would eventually devolve into more base elements. The most obvious sign would be the changing of our sexual relations from one of loving and compassionate interaction to a very one sided sadomasochist sexuality. I suppose that for some, sadomasochism is a loving relationship. For me it turned that way when I began using the women to play out my hostility towards them. It amazes me how many women go for it. It also was pretty terrible how far it went some times. I'm very happy today that I did not land in jail for hurting someone. Where did I get these angry feelings? Hell if I know. This painting is one of many pictures I have done which are inspired by these activities.
